My Ostomy Journey

Welcome, my name is Nicole, the founder of Ostomy Innovations.

My ostomy journey began in 2008 when I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. After many attempts at various medications and surgeries, my surgeon, gastroenterologist, and myself decided I should have colostomy surgery. While I am not cured from the disease, I am much better physically and mentally.

When I left the hospital after my colostomy surgery in October of 2014, I remember looking at women’s undergarments for ostomates and thinking to myself, “is this it?” I also started thinking about intimacy and what that would look like. I saw bands and belts, but then had an idea. “What if a pair of underwear and a band could be made into one?” After years of working on this idea off and on, Ostomy Innovations finally came together, and “Veiled” was born.

At Ostomy Innovations we provide high quality, comfortable, functional products for fellow ostomates. We aim to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with ostomies through philanthropy, to everyone who follows our social media posts and videos, to customers and for those who help to create our products. We are not here solely to sell undergarments; we are here to support you. Our platform is a place to share stories, seek advice, and build a community of strong, like-minded individuals.

What sets us apart:

  • Sustainability. (please see our “Sustainability Page” for more information)
  • Made in the USA.
    • We value people over profit.
    • We support domestic manufacturing to help our community thrive.
  • Private shipping. Your ostomy is your business.

I invite you to join the Ostomy Innovations community – a place where your ostomy is celebrated, where you find comfort and confidence in every undergarment, and where you become part of a network of individuals who understand your journey.

Whether you’re a seasoned ostomate or new to #ostomylife, I am here for you. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.

Remember that you are beautiful, just the way you are!

Peace and Love,

Nicole
